Apple took the wraps off its new iPhone for 2015: the iPhone 6S. Unveiled alongside the larger iPhone 6S Plus, the new model improves on last year's iPhone 6 in many ways, but looks almost exactly the same. Except that we now have a rose gold version, of course. The biggest difference from previous models is the introduction of 3D Touch, a evolution of Apple's multi-touch touchscreen technology. Similar to Force Touch on the Apple Watch, a user can push the screen with slightly increased pressure to introduce another layer of functionality, both in iOS and within apps. Heavy flooding over eastern Japan has caused three deaths, almost two dozen unaccounted for and houses washed away as residents were forced to their rooftops, desperate for rescue by military helicopters. In Miyagi Prefecture, one woman was found dead in her floating car, and in Tochigi Prefecture, to the north of the capital Toky, two deaths were reported, one in a landslide and another who had drowned. The Spaniard's present deal expires in 2016 and United had previously indicated they had abandoned hope of the 24-year-old signing an extension. But following the collapse of a proposed move to Real Madrid on transfer deadline day, negotiations have begun, with De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes attending the club's training complex on Thursday. British Airways plane catches fire at Las Vegas airport; 14 injured - CNN

A fire broke out Tuesday on an outbound British Airways flight at the Las Vegas airport, leading 14 people to be transported for medical care for what a fire official called "minor injuries." A majority of the injuries came as passengers slid down the inflatable chutes to evacuate the Boeing 777, Clark County Fire Department Deputy Chief Jon Klassen said. The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. (7 p.m. ET) and involved British Airways Flight 2276, which was bound for London's Gatwick Airport, according to the McCarran International Airport's Twitter feed.
