Auto Review: Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2014 Model

There are a few cars you see and you know it’s a government car. You don’t even need to check the license plates to know. The Nigerian government seems to love this car, the Colombian government, as well as the Government of Costa Rica and other countries. So our question is why? Is it because of the roads? Well, let’s see.
The Toyota Prado is a mid-sized four wheel drive Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) produced by the Japanese auto manufacturers Toyota Motor Corporation.

On The Road
Engines: 4.0-litre V6 (200kW and 380Nm), 3.0-litre turbo diesel (127kW and 410Nm)
Transmission: 6-speed manual or 5-speed auto, 4WD
Fuel Consumption: 11.5L/100km (petrol), 8.5L/100km (diesel)
Emissions: 271g/km (petrol), 225g/km (diesel)
We have to watch our environment. The green house effect is not just a theory.
So what does all this mean? It means that under the hood, we have a 4.0litre V6 petrol engine producing 200kW of power and 380Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine producing 127kW of power and 410Nm of torque.
According to Toyota Nigeria, The Prado's off-road heritage is evident in its excellent ground clearance and high approach and departure angles. Together with outstanding hill-climbing performance, excellent maximum tolerable roll-over angle and good fording capacities, they contribute to the outstanding all-round off-road performance in difficult conditions.

The Land Cruiser Prado comes in GX, GXL and the VX model.
You can purchase this car at about N12 – 15 Million naira.
