BlackBerry makes BBM available to Windows Phone Users
This is an announcement most of the windows phone user have been waiting for, me included. I’ve been waiting to be able to chat with my friends using Windows Phone via BBM and I am sure I’m not the only one. We always chat on Whatsapp messenger but, honestly, it’s just not the same thing. So, if you’ve patiently been waiting for the BBM app for windows phone, then this is your lucky day. The tech manufacturer based in Canada, BlackBerry Limited, has recently announced the release of BBM beta which will be available on Windows Phone 8 and the new Windows Phone 8.1.
In October 2013, BlackBerry launched its first BBM software which has been available to BlackBerry users alone for Android and iOS devices. In the first 24 hours, they hit over 10 million downloads. The Vice President and General Manager for developer experience at Microsoft Bryan Biniak said “We are intent on bringing the most popular application experiences to windows phone and with BBM, we are pleased to bring many of its top features to the Windows Phone platform”
BBM for Windows Phone features BBM Chats, Contacts and Feeds which can be accessed by swiping through the app. Bryan Biniak also added that “BBM on windows phone brings our customers the secure, easy-to-use messaging experience they demand, and we expect that new features will roll out in months to come.” I am certain windows phone users will rush to download this app.
